L’Autre Canal, a music venue in Nancy, Eastern France, chose Weezevent’s cashless payment solution to collect all payments via mobile terminals, enrich their audiences’ experience and track consumption data.

An agile, portable device
From the Club to the Hall, using Weezevent’s mobile payment terminals allows L’Autre Canal to adapt its payment system to the events’ format, the chosen capacity (from 350 to 1,300 people), the available bar or catering services and the staff deployed. The system adapts to L’Autre Canal’s projects with agility, not the other way round.
Payments by cashless card and bank card
This new terminal, capable of collecting payments from cashless cards and bank cards, allows L’Autre Canal to eliminate cash and to secure its transactions, while offering attendees a smooth path-to-purchase. Since the solution’s implementation, the hundreds of payments per event have been collected more quickly and with fewer errors.
Enriching their audiences’ experience.
A personalised online account
Cashless payment creates a permanent link between L’Autre Canal and its audiences. Throughout the year, each attendee can track their consumption and top up their cashless card directly via the venue website. Refunds are also made online mid-season or at the end of the season. This option eliminates the obstacles to adopting cashless payment.
Merging cashless payment with the membership card
In the short term, the music venue plans to merge the cashless system with its membership cards in order to combine offers, discounts and the annual membership on the NFC cashless card alone. For occasional attendees, cashless payment isn’t mandatory and the all-in-one terminal shown above allows them to pay by bank card as easily as by cashless card.
Precise tracking to improve its 360° management.
Obtaining new data
Before the arrival of cashless payment, the L’Autre Canal team had made predictions about consumption peaks at key times and points, the quantities of items sold per evening, the average spend per spectator, and more. The system put in place now allows L’Autre Canal to confirm these predictions thanks to the data obtained.
Managing all its activities
Now, for instance, L’Autre Canal can precisely analyse the transactions made, manage its supply chain and control its staff schedule by tracking the statistics synced in real time between the terminals and the Weezevent management interface.

Actions aimed at strengthening links
In the longer term, incentive programmes are being studied with the aim of strengthening audience loyalty. L’Autre Canal can activate marketing and communication actions by tracking the data collected from its organiser interface.

The most loyal audience categories can be rewarded and reached using dedicated offers, including price benefits, promotions with partners, and so on.
