Radios running non-stop, coffee going cold, teams moving from one site to another and plan C being put in place before plan B. None of that matters, as long as attendees can get in, buy what they need and move around without ever having to wonder what is happening behind the scenes.
This summer, our project managers travelled across Europe to support all kinds of events, from festivals to major international events.
Key figures, standout deployments and profiles of our team members… A look back at what made this season such a strong one, as Julie, Lead Client Success Manager at Weezevent, puts it.
Summary
1. Our season in numbers
It’s the end of festival season in the UK. After several months shaped by your ticketing needs with Kaboodle and WeezTicket, access control, cashless payments and accreditation, it’s time to take stock.
A few figures help put the scale of this summer into perspective:
- 540 events supported
- 113 project managers involved
- 500 Weezevent crew members on the ground
- 15,500 payment terminals
- 12.5 million cashless transactions processed

This period also kept our customer service team busy, supporting organisers, their teams and, above all, attendees with questions and operational needs both before and during events. Between 1 May and 31 August, the team answered 5,341 calls and sent 13,569 emails.
These figures reflect the commitment of our teams on the ground. Between deployments, they also took the time to tell us about their summer and share their experiences for this article.
2. The moments that defined the season
Throughout the summer, our teams documented their day-to-day life on the ground. We brought these moments together in our recap videos, giving you a glimpse of the season through their eyes:
🌴 Kala Festival, Polo in the Park and more…
🎸 Les Ardentes, Rock Werchter, Paradise City…
🏎️ F1 Spa, Lollapalooza Berlin…
🤘 Alcatraz Festival, Dranouter…
Some moments sum up this season on the ground particularly well: peaks in attendance, complex deployments…
1. More than 60 events supported simultaneously
At the beginning of June, our teams were supporting several dozen events across Europe at the same time. Over that weekend, the busiest of the season, more than 1.4 million attendees were welcomed at events using our solutions.
Whether we are supporting 60 events at once or just one, the goal remains the same: to absorb operational demands without organisers having to think about them, so they can stay focused on the experience they want to deliver to attendees.
2. Boomtown: turning event data into a personalised attendee experience
At Boomtown, our teams combined ticketing data from Kaboodle with insights collected across cashless payments and access control to give organisers real-time visibility over their operations.
Across the five-day festival, more than 1,600 devices helped capture attendee journeys and spending data, which were then used to create a personalised digital recap for more than 60,000 festival-goers.
- 60,000+ attendees
- 1,600+ devices deployed
- Ticketing, access control and cashless data combined
- A personalised recap generated for each attendee

3. G7: coordinating access for a high-security event
For the 2026 G7 Summit, our teams worked alongside the Haute-Savoie Prefecture on a system designed to manage the flow of people and secure access to the different areas of the summit.
Prepared over 4 months, the deployment involved more than 25 members of our teams.
- 200,000 identity documents were processed
- 200,000 scans were carried out
- More than 150 checkpoints operated continuously
- A 24/7 hotline and technical support service helped the deployment
4. Lost Village, a unified setup
For the past 2 years, Lost Village has trusted us to support its operations. From 27 to 30 August, our team was on site to help manage its ticketing, access control, cashless payments and accreditation needs.
With 20,000 attendees per day and a fully cashless setup, the deployment relied on 513 devices to keep operations running smoothly across the festival.
By using all of our solutions to make its operations more efficient, the organisers also benefit from a real-time overview of the event. The data collected through our solutions gives them a reliable point of reference to inform each decision and help shape the next edition.
3. Behind the Blue: meet some of the people behind our solutions
Behind every project and every solution are the people who develop, prepare, install and step in when needed. Our Behind the Blue series introduces you to some of them.
1. Félicien, from organiser to project manager
A former organiser and user of our solutions, Félicien now supports some of Europe’s biggest events, including Tomorrowland. He looks back on his journey, the unexpected challenges of a season and what the role of a project manager is really like.
2. Karine, at the heart of access control
Karine, WeezAccess Tech Team Lead, works on the technology behind the thousands of scans carried out every day during peak season. She tells us about her role and some of the projects that have stood out for her.
3. David, from the field to product strategy
As Chief Product Officer, David bridges the gap between needs observed on the ground and the evolution of our solutions. In his profile, you’ll discover his journey and his vision for event technology.
4. Rudolf, supporting teams as they grow
From Client Success Manager to leading our Berlin office, Rudolf supports the growth of our activities in Germany and Austria. He shares what makes his team strong today.
5. And all our teams on the ground
Beyond these profiles, 500 crew members were also deployed on site throughout the season. Working behind the scenes, at support points or at the heart of operations, they support organisers with their operational needs.
At the height of the season, our teams handled more than 1,000 assignments simultaneously.
4. What’s next?
A huge thank you to all the organisers who put their trust in us, as well as to all the teams working on the ground and behind the scenes to make the 2026 season happen!

Our teams are now turning their attention to the next key moments of the year, particularly sporting events and professional events.
On the sporting side, the season is already under way! At Dijon FCO, the start of the season comes with something new: an NFC-enabled scarf that allows season ticket holders to use the same item to enter the stadium and make payments. A way of integrating technology into an item that is already an iconic part of the supporter experience.
