What’s new @ Weezevent – October 2025

Summary

🎪 The tech behind the magic at Boomtown 2025

This summer, Weezevent and Kaboodle worked hand in hand at Boomtown to deliver three core solutions that powered the experience for 77,000 festival-goers:

    • Ticketing: advanced sales with upsells, payment plans, accommodation and transport packages tailored to every attendee.
    • Access control: fast and reliable entry using both mobile and fixed scanning devices, pairing every attendee to their wristband.
    • Cashless payments: 100% tap-and-go transactions, synced to each attendee’s account for speed and security.

As Toby, Commercial Director at Boomtown, explained:

“Bringing both these partners on has made the show much more frictionless. We’re reaping the benefits of four years now working together.”

    ⚡ Our latest product features

    WeezTicket

The latest feature of our ticketing solution.

Promote ticket sales with your QR code
You can now generate and share a QR code that takes attendees directly to your ticket sales. With this feature you decide where the QR leads, whether it is your minisite, module or website, and you can also set the default language. If you use the module you can customise the colour to match your branding. You can even track orders made via the QR code, with the origin appearing in your attendee export.

    WeezPay

The latest feature of our cashless payment solution.

    Limit returnable items per order
Until now, you could already set a global limit on returnable items using the refundable counter for your event. This gave you full control over how many cups or plates someone could return in total.

With this new feature, you get even more flexibility. You can now decide how many items can be returned in a single transaction. In practice, this means an attendee can only hand back a set number of cups at once, and your staff can only process that amount. This keeps the flow simple for your team while adding extra protection against fraud.

    WeezCrew

The latest feature of our crew management solution.

    Display route direction on maps
You can now show the direction of a course (.gpx track) directly on your maps (Google Maps or IGN). This direction also appears on assignment sheets sent to volunteers and staff, making routes clear and easy to follow for everyone.

    🌱 Green Guardian Award nomination

We’re proud to share that Weezevent has been nominated for the Green Guardian Award in the category of sustainable suppliers and innovators. This recognition comes thanks to our smart cup technology, developed together with Aucxis and deployed during Tomorrowland.

By automating deposits and returns, this solution helps reduce waste and makes reusable cups easier to manage for organisers and attendees alike.

The nomination highlights our ongoing efforts to lower the environmental impact of events while giving organisers practical, sustainable tools.

    🌍 World Clean Up Day

Last week, our team in Paris took part in World Clean Up Day.

Together, after work, we collected bags of litter across the city. It was a small but meaningful step towards a greener and cleaner future. A big thank you to our colleagues who joined, the local organisers who made this initiative possible, and all the citizens committed to making a difference.

💙 Proud of our team for showing that our impact can go beyond the events we deliver.

See you at the next edition!
