Weezevent is a French company that has been operating in Canada since 2014. We provide a complete ecosystem of event technologies, including online ticketing, registration, cashless payment, access control, volunteer and accreditation management and CRM. Our solutions are used by more than 500,000 event organizers worldwide.
Summary
Why does “WEEZEVENT – DIJON FRANCE” appear on my bank statement when you are based in Canada?
Simply because all transactions, whether they relate to a ticket purchase or a payment made at an event using our cashless payment solution, go through a single company bank account located in France, where our head office is based.
I don’t remember buying a ticket through the Weezevent platform
That’s normal. Our solution enables event organizers to sell tickets online directly through their own website.
In most cases, however, you will have received your purchase confirmation by e-mail from support@weezevent.com. We recommend checking your inbox for your confirmation and order details. One of the easiest ways to find your order is to check your inbox around the date of the charge, or to search for the word “Weezevent”.
What types of organizers use Weezevent?
All types of events can use Weezevent solutions: conferences, professional training courses, music festivals, concerts, venues, sports events, children’s shows, trade shows, fairs, private events, tasting events and more.
In Quebec, some of the organizers who trust us include La Grande Dégustation de Montréal, Mondial de la Bière, Salon de l’agriculture, Unity Electro Fest, Festival Bières et Saveurs de Chambly and Festival de la Poutine de Drummondville.
Before disputing your transaction, make sure you have considered all possibilities. For example, ask yourself whether you are the only person using your credit card within your family or company. It may be that a family member, colleague or someone on your team made a purchase, such as registering for a training course, using your card.
In addition to selling e-tickets, some organizers use Weezevent to manage paid registrations for their events. This means the transaction may correspond to an online registration, even if no e-ticket was issued.
You don’t remember buying a ticket or registering for an event on the date shown on your bank statement? Here’s what to do
In this case, before disputing the charge, we invite you to contact us so we can help you identify the transaction. You can reach us on 514-419-2666, Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm, or write to us at info@weezevent.com.
Why does a line on my bank statement show a few letters followed by “WEEZEVENT”?
This wording appears when you have made an online or on-site payment at an event using our event payment solution. It allows you to pay for purchases such as drinks, food, merchandise, and more using a contactless support, such as a wristband or card, or directly with your usual payment methods, such as your bank card.
As with ticket purchases, transactions are processed through Weezevent’s payment infrastructure. It is therefore normal for this wording to appear on your bank statement, even if the payment was made directly during the event or through an online pre-top-up.
If you do not remember making a payment or top-up, it is possible that a family member, colleague or someone close to you used your card to credit a cashless account or make a payment at an event using our payment solution. We recommend checking with those around you. If you are still unsure, please contact us.
