A record summer for cashless

With the summer event season in full swing, we can already announce record numbers related to the deployment of our cashless solution.

During this first half of the summer, more than 200 events have already implemented WeezPay, our cashless technology. Our support has extended to more than 10 countries, including France, Belgium, Spain, Switzerland, the UK, the Netherlands, Germany, Austria, Portugal and Canada, making Weezevent the most influential cashless actor.

With more than 30 million euros in cashless transactions in only 2 months, this has been the highest level of activity in our history.

This success testifies to the dynamism of live events and the massive and borderless adoption of cashless in the wake of the pandemic

Since our first cashless event in 2015, we have constantly invested in the development and improvement of this technology. This investment comes with the recruitment of 120 Weezevent experts who work closely with event organisers in the deployment of a powerful software suite combining ticketing, cashless and access control. All making use of more than 35,000 state of the art terminals.

This dematerialised payment method was deployed at several major summer events: Paleo Festival in Switzerland, Ed Sheeran and Les Ardentes in Belgium, Hellfest and Vieilles Charrues in France, Interstellar and Cruïlla in Spain, Boom Festival in Portugal, Novarock in Austria, and Splash Festival in Germany.

“For 2 years our activity was at a standstill, but we have been able to strengthen ourselves to become the standout reference in the market, notably by investing massively abroad. In 2022, our turnover will double compared to 2019. And the second half of the summer with the Spa Francorchamps Grand Prix, LollaPalooza Berlin, Boomtown and then the winter season in South America looks just as promising.” Pierre-Henri Deballon, CEO of Weezevent.
