WeezDays #Festival 2025 : key points of this edition

On March 27th the new edition of WeezDays took place, giving Weezevent the opportunity to welcome representatives from 45 festivals directly to our Parisian offices.

Over the years, this event dedicated to our community of event organisers has become a key meeting place for discussing the major dynamics shaping tomorrow’s events landscape. Among the topics discussed were marketing strategies, volunteer management and accreditation.

Summary

An inspiring event in a welcoming atmosphere

The opening of this new edition began with a warm welcome: ‘This day is yours’ – an invitation to exchange freely, share experiences and build tomorrow’s events together.

The first conference was an opportunity to get an overview of the evolutions shaping the future of Weezevent solutions, as well as the resulting opportunities in terms of marketing strategy, from the current year for year N+1. For example, why not take advantage of the emotional peak of participants to stimulate sales for future editions of the event? Capitalising on immediate engagement maximises the chances of conversion and creates a lasting dynamic.

The conference was followed by a talk on user experience by Jean-Christophe Paris and Sami Lini, both co-founders of Akiani. It was a talk that gave everyone a chance to gain some perspective on the subject of data, with one key lesson: data can only be effective if it is placed in a clear environment and context.

Immersion in workshops, sharing and concrete feedback

4 practical workshops punctuated the afternoon and enlightened our customers on key themes: the exploitation of data for advertising purposes, two workshops on the WeezCrew solution (accreditation management and population management), and a third entitled ‘Imagine the worst… to create the best festival’, led by the co-founders of Akiani.

Alexis, CMO of Weezevent, was able to demonstrate how to easily connect a tracking system to a WeezTicket ticketing service integrated into a website. The aim is to distribute advertising via Meta Business Suite, targeting users who have not completed their purchase or who have simply visited the event website.

Concrete feedback from the field was shared by committed organisers such as Pierre Abbate (La Kermesse Festival) and Lucas Single (Touquet Music Beach Festival), while our WeezCrew experts helped participants to get to grips with the tools and key features.

Finally, the Akiani workshop focused on the worst experiences of festival organisers. From monster traffic jams at the entrance to a 404 error in the middle of a concert on the mainstage screen, the fun facts shared not only provided inspiration for best practice, but also reminded us of one essential thing: as an organiser, you’re never alone when faced with the unexpected.

Being able to discuss these moments of crisis is also a way of taking a step back, putting things in perspective… and leaving better equipped for what comes next.

    Closing together, ideas and encounters

Aurélien Djakouane, sociologist and lecturer at Nanterre University, gave one of the day’s lectures, devoted to the profiles of festival-goers. It was an opportunity to share some key figures and the insights they provide. It was a powerful moment, designed to deconstruct certain preconceived ideas and bring organisers closer to the reality of their audience.

The final conference, devoted to rethinking festival spaces, was led by Grégor, Head of Development at Weezevent, with contributions from Joséphine Declerck (founder of AUR+A), Gino Innocente (manager at the Ronquières Festival), Matea Ilieva (Head of Development at HopHopFood) and Benjamin (Head of Sport at Weezevent). Together, they shared a number of concrete ideas, with a few examples from the North American market.

The day ended with a cocktail reception, extending the discussions in a warm and connected atmosphere.

We’re proud to see this tradition continue and evolve, in step with the discussions and challenges facing the sector. This is just the beginning: we look forward to seeing you at the next event, where we can continue to learn, be inspired… and grow together.
