Prior to joining the Ministry in January 2017, Mr. Hizkiyahu held several managerial positions in the public and private sectors, including chairman of the First International Bank, and prior to that, supervisor of banks at the Bank of Israel, a role held from 2007 to 2010. During his tenure as supervisor, Mr. Hizkiyahu faced the many challenges spurred by the 2008 financial crisis.

A good friend of Israel Bonds, visiting corporate headquarters in New York and speaking at Bonds events, Mr. Hizkiyahu started his professional career at Bank Hapoalim, Israel's largest bank, and after holding several managerial positions was appointed VP and head of Discount Bank's Corporate Division. Mr. Hizkiyahu has served on the boards of a number of financial entities.
