Description
The COVID-19 pandemic has created a global economic recession, which cannot be tackled with classical textbook solutions. It has brought a new life that we all must adapt to. The presentation will explain the global economic outlook and some macroeconomic concepts, including the current investment trends, to helpunderstand the changing environment of businesses.
We will take a closer look at the Swiss economy and how businesses are supported by government stimulus. We will explore the question: what are the necessary capabilities of a successful business in the new normal?
For small businesses, as an inspiration, we will explore a few cases of how micro and small businesses are adapting and making successful shifts to serve new demands. We will look at the 'priority list for recovery' of the International Trade Center for small businesses and you will have the chance to practice a quick exercise to realize how important it is to have the correct information at hand. You will be also provided with other useful tools to be able to monitor your economic environment better and make your business more resilient and sustainable.
