Fundraising Event for Nick Danziger - World famous Photojournalist and Monaco local. 

 

Nick Danziger is one of the world's finest photojournalists and naturally gifted visual storyteller. 

 

Over the past 30 years, Nick has been photographing both the world's dispossessed and disadvantaged all over the globe, as well as world leaders and heads of state. He dedicates his life to documenting the social and political issues that define our times in best-selling books, award-winning documentaries and photography.

 

We are looking to raise 17K EUR to cover the publishing expenses for Nick’s next book “Another Life” on “How we are failing the world’s poor". Another life will feature Nick’s photography and Rory MacLean’s work as an author. Nick and Rory plan to make a large format 320-page book containing 160 black and white photographs with words and extended captions illustrating the lives of the same individuals and families in India, Cambodia, Zambia, Uganda, Niger, Honduras, Bolivia and Armenia whom he followed for over a decade. The book will stand as a permanent record of their courage and humanity, but also as a reminder that much work still needs to be done if these goals are to be met.

 

During the fundraising, Nick Danziger will auction a selection of pictures he has taken behind the scenes with the All Blacks - the first time and only time a photographer has been deep inside the sacred space of the All Black camp - revealing the highs and the lows, the pain and the passion, the commitment and the courage of New Zealand's iconic sporting team

- along with a few other auction items (workshop, photoshoot, etc.). 

 

Awards: Nick is one of the world's most renowned Photojournalists. He has won numerous awards for his outstanding work, amongst them is an Honorary Fellowship awarded by the Royal Photographic Society, the Royal Geographic Society's Ness award and a World Press Photo 1st Prize in the Single Portrait category. His photographs have been published internationally and are part of several prestigious museum collections.
