Katia Cardenal, is a Nicaraguan singer/songwriter, and a part of the nueva trova movement. Katia Cardenal has released seven albums with the Norwegian label Kirkelig Kulturverksted BRAZOS DE SOL, NAVEGAS POR LAS COSTAS, EN REVESLANDIA, FRAGANCIA, SUEÑO DE UNA NOCHE DE VERANO, VEN A MI CASA ESTA NAVIDAD, MESSE FOR KARI OG OLE (with norwegian choque Skruk, and three with Nicaraguan MOKA Discos. MARIPOSA DE ALAS ROTAS, HOJARASCA y MISA CAMPESINA NICARAGÜENSE.

Since 19th April 2018 Nicaragua is going through a severe socio-political crisis that has left so far more than 400 deaths, thousands of injured, hundreds still missing, hundreds of arbitrary and ilegaldetentions and a massive migration out of the country. The need ofhelp is overwhelming.
The benefit from this concert will be to help covering basic needs of families in vulnerability victims of violence and repression and also to help sustain 'Allegro school of Music' which gives access to empoverished nicaraguan children to music lessons.
