Female genital mutilation now affects around 200 million women worldwide (UNICEF). Of this 200 million, 44 Million are girls under the age of 15. We will fundraise for the Fondation Follereau to help support victims of genital mutilation and implement awareness programs, especially in Burkina Faso where 82% of the population has been impacted by these practices.
