The African Aeronautics & Space Organization (AASO), whose honorary president is astronaut Jean Loup Chrétien, is organizing a symposium “ Aeronautics and space applications for health in Africa”.
AASO is an independent association of members interested in the use of aeronautical and satellite technologies to advance sustainable development goals and address, among other things, climate change and environmental risks. The organization, firmly rooted in the 21st century, has the ambitious goal of facilitating the implementation of concrete actions for the sustainable development of the African continent.
To achieve these goals, AASO is taking the following actions:
-Contribute to the development of aeronautical and space sciences in Africa,
-Promote and implement partnership development projects related to aeronautics and space science, using local skills accompanied by those of the African diaspora
-Promote the need to pool the aerospace resources of the African continent that contribute to its sustainable development
As part of these activities, AASO is organizing a symposium in partnership with CNES on "Aeronautics and Space Applications for Health in Africa".
The patron of this event is the Nobel Prize for Medicine awarded PhD Françoise Barré Sinoussi
